Organisation

Tietgenkollegiet was established based on a donation from the Nordea Foundation. The dormitory is operated by the Tietgenkollegiet Foundation, which also acted as the developer of the building. 
The daily administration and operations of Tietgenkollegiet are managed by the dormitory’s administration in cooperation with the residents’ council, consisting of the residents.

Chairman: Mogens Hugo (b. 1943)

Most recently elected: 2024. Current term expires in 2026. 

Special competencies: 
Operational and strategic management, listed international corporations, strategy development, finance, investment, risk management, extensive board experience in industrial and financial enterprises and foundations.

Ulla Margrethe Wewer (b. 1953) 

M.D., Professor, Dr. Med., Professor at the Faculty of Health and Medical Sciences, University of Copenhagen; former Dean of the Faculty of Health and Medical Sciences, University of Copenhagen (2006–2022). Member of The Royal Danish Academy of Sciences and Letters. 
Joined the board: 17.04.2023 
Most recently elected: 2025. Current term expires in 2027. 

Special competencies: 
As researcher and lecturer: lived and conducted research in the USA and participated in international research collaborations. 
As dean: strategy and leadership in a university context with focus on research, education, innovation, communication, and collaboration. Emphasis on a healthy work environment.

Board member of the Gerda and Aage Haensch Foundation. Member of the Presidium of the Greenland Health Council. 

Per Holten-Andersen (b. 1952) 

M.Sc. (Forestry), HD, PhD. Rector of the Royal Veterinary and Agricultural University (KVL) 2002–2006, Rector of Copenhagen Business School (CBS) 2012–2019.

Most recently elected: 2024. Current term expires in 2026. 

Special competencies: 
University leadership, student collaboration, board experience from public institutions and foundations.

Birgitte Høier (b. 1970) 

PhD, Associate Professor, Department of Nutrition, Exercise and Sports, University of Copenhagen. 
Joined the board: 12.04.2016 
Most recently elected: 2025. Current term expires in 2027. 

Special competencies: 
National and international research experience within health sciences. Project management experience from human research projects, co-supervisor for bachelor’s, master’s, and PhD students, and insight into study conditions for university students at all levels. 

Other positions: 
Board member, E/F Parmagade 13–23 (2024). Deputy board member of the Research Education Program in Sport Sciences (REPS), Denmark, 2010–2013. 

Jens Frydenvang (b. 1986) 

PhD, M.Sc., Associate Professor at the University of Copenhagen. 
Joined the board: 22.04.2020 
Most recently elected: 2024. Current term expires in 2026. 

Special competencies: 
Among the first residents of Tietgenkollegiet. Contributed to the establishment of resident groups, including the Residents’ Council, which he chaired for several years. Researcher at the University of Copenhagen in NASA’s Mars Science Laboratory and Mars 2020 missions. Extensive knowledge of Danish and international research, university-level teaching experience, and dissemination of Mars research results to audiences of all ages.

Co-founder of SpectraCrop ApS. 

ABOUT THE NORDEA FOUNDATION

The Nordea Foundation has a charitable and non-profit purpose, supporting activities that promote good lives within the areas of health, exercise, nature, and culture. 
The Nordea Foundation is a commercial foundation and as such an independent legal entity, separate from its founder. The shared name with Nordea AB refers to the common historical roots of the bank and the foundation in Sparekassen SDS. Since the foundation’s establishment, the majority of its equity capital has been invested in bank shares, today in Nordea AB shares.
